How do I find my pet's microchip number
If you don’t already know your pet’s microchip number, there are a few easy ways to find it:
1. Check Your Pet’s Paperwork
Look for the microchip certificate given to you by your vet, breeder, rescue, or microchip implanter.
It may also be listed on adoption papers or vaccine records.
2. Search Your Email
If your pet was registered online, search your inbox for keywords like “microchip”, “micro chip”, or the name of the microchip company.
You may find the original registration confirmation email containing the number.
3. Ask Your Vet to Scan Your Pet
Most vets will scan your pet for free or a small fee.
The microchip number will appear instantly on their scanner and they can give it to you in writing.
4. Contact Your Breeder, Rescue, or Previous Owner
If you recently adopted or purchased your pet, the person or organisation you got them from should have the number.
💡 Tip: You can still start adding your pet’s details on our registration page even if you don’t have the microchip number yet. Just leave the field blank for now and update your pet’s profile once you have it.
