How to update your email address on Pet Database
Your email address is an important part of your account as it’s where we send confirmations, important updates, and lost pet alerts.
If you change your email, you should update it in Pet Database straight away.
Steps to update your email
Log in to your account at petdatabase.com/account.
In the Personal details section, click Change email address.
Enter your new email address and confirm it by typing it again.
Click Save to apply the change.
Check your inbox for a confirmation email - you may need to verify your new address before it becomes active.
Why it’s important
Lost pet alerts: We use your email to send notifications if your pet is reported missing or found.
Legal compliance: UK law requires your contact details to be accurate on a DEFRA-compliant database.
Account access: You’ll use this email for logging in and recovering your account if you forget your password.
💡 Tip: If you have more than one email address, choose the one you check most often and make sure it’s always up to date.
